1. Main XFG website
The main xfinitgaming.org page does not currently load optional analytics or advertising cookies. It uses local browser storage only when you save choices in the XFG Cookie Settings panel. Technical request logs may still be created by the web server and security network; those logs are not browser cookies.
2. Forum cookies
- Necessary session cookies keep a forum visit connected to the correct session and support security checks.
- Authentication cookies support sign-in and the “Remember me” feature when selected.
- Preference cookies remember basic forum or cookie-notice choices.
Blocking necessary forum cookies may prevent sign-in, saved sessions, forms, or other forum features from working correctly.
3. Optional categories
XFG’s preference panel includes Performance, Functionality, and Advertising categories so members can record choices in one place. These optional categories are off by default. XFG does not currently load optional analytics or advertising cookies on the main website. If optional tools are introduced later, they must respect the recorded category choice before loading where consent is required.
4. Cookie settings
You can reopen the XFG privacy panel at any time to review or change optional preferences. Necessary cookies remain active when required to operate the forum. You can also delete cookies in your browser or use phpBB’s forum-cookie deletion page.
Performance, Functionality, and Advertising categories start off. Your confirmed choices are saved in this browser.
Delete forum cookies. Deleting cookies signs out sessions and clears saved browser choices, but it does not delete an XFG account or forum content.
5. Third-party websites
Links to Discord, YouTube, Twitch, TikTok, Instagram, game publishers, and other websites do not give XFG control over those services. When you visit them, their cookies and privacy policies apply. On the main XFG website, choosing a language translates public pages on XFG and remembers that choice in this browser as xfgSiteLocale. Page addresses and content are not sent to a third-party translation service.
6. Gear Shop cookies and browser storage
The Gear Shop uses necessary cookies and browser storage for sign-in and security, cart and checkout state, and the language and region preferences you request.
The shop stores cookie preferences under xfgCookieConsent in local browser storage. Optional performance, functionality, and advertising preferences are off by default. The shop currently loads no optional analytics or advertising cookies.
Preferences saved on the Gear Shop apply to this shop in this browser. They are separate from preferences saved on the main XFG website or forum.
7. Newsletter popup preferences
The xfgNewsletterPopup local-storage key contains only automatic display timestamps and a subscribed flag. The popup uses those timestamps to limit new automatic openings to three in a rolling seven-day period, at least 24 hours apart.
The xfgNewsletterPopupSession session-storage key keeps the popup’s dismissal or open state for the current browser session. Neither browser-storage key contains your email address.
hCaptcha bot protection
The Gear Shop loads hCaptcha when you submit a newsletter signup to protect the form from automated abuse. This security service may use cookies or similar storage for verification. It is separate from optional advertising and analytics preferences.
